Donovan Rasmussen – Supervisor I started framing in 1993. Through the guidance of Don Rasmussen(father), who took a bottom up approach, I was taught the business from the ground floor starting as a laborer. I worked through apprenticeship on to becoming a journeyman carpenter. I was a Project Manager for 6 years and now have been a Supervisor since 2004. As a Supervisor my main job is to oversee field operations. Each project has its own Project Manager who is responsible for day to day functions. Between Supervisors and Project Managers we ensure all of our clients needs are met.
Another one of my responsibilities is managing our safety program. Along with Project Managers we stay up to speed on OSHA regulations and requirements, in addition to working in a safe manner overall. Safety is a major concern for us to ensure the safety of our people and in keeping overall costs down.
Personally, I have come to appreciate this trade and this company. I have been involved in framing projects at every different level. I have been able to take alot of experiences and use it to run very quality minded and efficient projects. I take great pride in delivering a great product to our clients.
John Wedding – Foreman I’m a 3rd generation Colorado Native. I’m happily married to my high school sweetheart, and we have 4 children….ALL BOYS! I’ve been working for StraitLine Framing for the better part of 11 years. I started with the company with 2 years of construction experience, having worked bridges on the E-470 project for 2 years straight out of high school. I came to StraitLine and I quickly found out that I was a “Framer”. There was no question in my mind. I love being outside in the awesome Colorado weather, and building has been a fascination of mine since I was very young. For the past 6 years I have been working directly under Donovan Rasmussen. He has helped me improve myself by teaching me both the technical and business side of our trade. We continue to try everyday to improve ourselves, and take great pride in what we do and the product we turn over to our clients. This is the StraitLine way, having pride, and being proud of what we do.
Scott Sherard – Foreman I am a graduate of Tulane University with a degree in Mathematics. I bring 12 years of construction experience with an emphasis on framing. Project Manager for StraitLine since 2002. My math background serves StraitLine and me well on some of the more complex framing situations. My easy going attitude helps me to make sure our clients have less stress during the framing process while still meeting deadlines.
